Chryston Parish Church is a community of people of different ages, backgrounds and experiences, brought together by the good news of Jesus Christ.

At the heart of everything we do is the belief that Jesus is God’s Son, who came into our world, gave his life for us and rose again, bringing forgiveness, hope and new life to all who trust in him.

That good news is why we gather, why we worship and why we seek to share his love with others.

We’re not people who have everything worked out. We’re people learning together what it means to know Jesus, trust him and follow him in everyday life.

And there’s always room for someone new.

Sharing Jesus at the Heart of Our Community

These words express our vision as a church.

We believe the good news of Jesus Christ is for everyone, and we want people in Chryston and beyond to have the opportunity to discover him for themselves.

That means sharing our faith through what we say, but also through the relationships we build, the welcome we offer and the care we show to others.

As part of the Church of Scotland, we’re rooted in our local community, seeking to make Jesus known and reflect his love in all we do.

Growing Together in Faith

Sunday worship is at the heart of our life together. We gather to praise God, hear his Word, pray and encourage one another to follow Jesus.

But following Jesus is not simply something we do on Sundays.

Throughout the week, people gather in small groups, children and young people explore faith, friendships develop and opportunities arise to learn, serve and grow together.

We want to be a church where people of every generation are encouraged to become more like Jesus.

Faith That Makes a Difference

The love of Jesus changes how we see ourselves, how we treat one another and how we engage with the world around us.

We seek to care for those facing difficulties, support one another through life’s challenges, serve our local community and share in God’s work through our mission partners.

We don’t always get things right. But we believe God’s grace is at work in us, helping us grow into a community that reflects the love and compassion of Christ.
